It is our experience that students are usually best suited to this course if they have achieved the equivalent of A-C grades at GCSE level or if they have some previous experience of computer programming.

Diploma in Computer System Design
ACP Certificate in Computer Programming or the equivalent of 2-3 A levels together with some experience in Computer Programming

Advanced Diploma in Computer Studies
ACP Diploma in Computer System Design or an equivalent diploma/degree

Admissions:
January, April and September

Examinations:
January, May, September
(for Certificate & Diploma)

February, June, October
(for Advanced Diploma)

Fee Structure:

Advance Diploma: £2,700 per annum

Equating the ACP qualification to others
The ACP combined Certificate & Diploma qualification equates with either three A Levels; the BTEC National Diploma or the IMIS Diploma and, accordingly, fits into the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) as a Level 3 qualification.

The ACP Advanced Diploma equates with Edexcel Level 5 Higher National Diploma in Computing (HND), The IMIS Higher Diploma (new syllabus)/IMIS Graduate Diploma or a foundation degree in computing. As such, it fits into the National Qualications Framework (NQF) at (revised) Level 5.
